Terms of Service

1) Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using WavWork (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2) Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) or have verifiable parental/guardian consent.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for all activity on your account.

3) Marketplace Relationship

WavWork connects clients with independent music professionals. Except where expressly stated, professionals are independent contractors, not employees or agents of WavWork. Any agreements, deliverables, and timelines are between the parties to a project.

4) User Content & Intellectual Property

• Ownership: You retain ownership of audio, text, images, and other content you upload (“User Content”). You represent and warrant you have all necessary rights to upload and use such content on the Service.
• License to WavWork: You grant WavWork a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, and display User Content solely to operate, improve, and provide the Service (including enabling project collaboration and delivery).
• Prohibited/Infringing Content: You may not upload content that infringes copyrights, publicity rights, or other third-party rights; is unlawful; or violates these Terms.
• Takedowns: We may remove or disable access to content upon credible notice of alleged infringement or policy violation.

5) Subscriptions, Free Trials & Auto-Renewal (App Stores)

• Auto-Renewal: If you purchase an auto-renewing subscription, it renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Free Trials: If a free trial is offered, you will be charged the subscription price when the trial ends unless you cancel before the trial period concludes. Eligibility may be limited to new subscribers.
• Billing Provider: In-app subscriptions are billed by the platform owner (Apple App Store for iOS; Google Play for Android). WavWork, LLC does not directly process or control these charges.
• How to Cancel:
  • Apple iOS: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > WavWork.
  • Google Play (if applicable): Play Store app > Profile > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > WavWork.
• Refunds: Refunds for App Store / Google Play purchases are handled by Apple/Google under their policies. Contact the respective store to request a refund.
• Price Changes: We may change pricing or subscription features with notice as required by the platform. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
• Taxes: Applicable taxes may be charged by the billing provider.

6) One-Off Payments (e.g., PayPal/Stripe)

• For transactions processed outside the app stores (if offered), payments are handled by third-party processors such as PayPal or Stripe. Processor fees may apply.
• WavWork currently charges 0% platform fees; third-party processing fees (e.g., PayPal) may still apply.

7) Community Conduct

• Treat others with respect. No harassment, hate speech, threats, or abusive behavior.
• No spam, scams, or solicitation unrelated to legitimate projects.
• No posting or sharing content that is illegal, infringing, or violates privacy rights.
• No attempts to scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service.
• Report concerns to support@wavworkapp.com. We may warn, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

8) Safety, Enforcement & Termination

We may remove content, suspend, or terminate access for any violation of these Terms or to protect users, the public, or the Service. We may also preserve or disclose information when we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights and safety.

9) Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or specific outcomes from using the Service.

10) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WavWork, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data.

11) Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless WavWork, LLC from claims arising out of your use of the Service or your User Content, except to the extent caused by our own willful misconduct.

12) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised Effective Date. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.

13) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
